I met Maureen in the early 90s when I hardly spoke English, and she was always a very kind and warm person, despite the language difficulties. As the years passed (and I learned the language), we became good friends, she shared experiences with me with her openness and tremendous good nature. I will always remember a long and beautiful walk together along the Brighton Downs, where she spoke to me woman to woman, and how her confidence and experience helped me at a difficult time. This conversation will stay with me as a key moment in my life, for which I will always be grateful to her. Dear Maureen you were a beautiful person in this life and will always be in our hearts.
